Re: How to increase power output on a stock 3.7 V6

Ryans Ported TB was the most gains I felt from a mod with my 3.7. I was happy as hell when I first got it, but now I have gotten used to the extra power and I just want more....

If i have a strong need or demand for more power i am going to have to go get a jeep with a 4.7, 5.7 or 6.1.

I did just get a ported TB by Ryan and its awesome. I want to get an intake. I have the powerwire also. After that I have to say that my jeep is going to be as fast as its ever going to be without major modifications and $$$$

I think if you do the basic mods, intake, TB, PowerWire, and exhaust, you'll be happy with the gains.

Just my opinion.

The early 4.7's like mine only had like 20 more HP than the 3.7 of course they had a lot more torque though. I'm in the same boat as you even if I dump a ton of money into the engine I wont ever be seeing the times that 5.7 Hemi's run or even the new 4.7. I wish they would have done the 2nd generation 4.7 with the introduction of the WK. I did a K&N CAI and a Magnaflow muffler so far I also plan to add a superchip and possibly a gen 2 intake, ported throttle body, and maybe a cam but im not so sure that would be worth it yet. My car sounds great right now but im still driving like a 16 second car unfortunately.

Nothing against you bro, but I think with the right tune it might be worth it

HAHA I will try to ensure it's not an epic fail it all depends on how the summer goes with Tim

Hopefully man ... I didn't install my CAI and other crap to be able to collect enough $$$ for the setup and tune it right

It's something I am really considering ... I am doing it not only for power but to have the most unique V6 GC setup there is

This is all speculation of course, it all depends if Tim has the time and is willing to do it and also time to go upto OH to get the setup running
