How to make mirrors heated on Laredo 2005?

Hi!
I have a WK Laredo'05 with out such option as heated mirrors, they are only powered.
Some guys told me that all wire for the heated mirrors are in place on every WK model and hidden in the door.

Could someone confirm it? And does it means that I need only to buy mirrors glass with heating?

From Moscow with love

just buy some heated mirrors from a junkyard. The wire thing is bullshit. All mirror harbnesses are pre-wired for heated mirrors....you just need the mirrors

Re: How to make mirrors heated on Laredo 2005?

you just have to buy heated mirrors and install them. no extra wires, the same harness that powers your current mirrors has the ability to power the heat. they will come on with your rear defroster.

Re: How to make mirrors heated on Laredo 2005?

there are a few different mirrors. some have a built in trim piece oin the bottoms and some do not. make sure you get one that is the same as yours or you can also buy new trim for the door. do not get autodim unless you have an autodim rearview mirror and want to hook that up.

Re: How to make mirrors heated on Laredo 2005?

you will have to actually look at the part or have it described to buy it because they are all different. its really random on if your jeep has trim on the bottom of the mirror or not regardless or heat or autodim etc.

Re: How to make mirrors heated on Laredo 2005?

Not to hijack this thread but what is needed for an autodim mirror? I am assuming different wiring?
