The jeep does not vibrate, the vibration is in the gas pedal 30 mph and above. I checked my power steering fluid it is low at the add mark hot or cold temp could that give me vibration in the pedal.

interesting because , I believe the throttle is drive by wire. I know this is a weird question but have you checked to see if maybe the petal is loose?

I had a driveshaft built last year and I had seized up joints that vibrated

Re: I Found a Shop That Can Replace WK U-Joints…

Its just started vibrating in the pedal , Just read my sig that's all the mods I have done The only thing new is tires they got about 5k on them. If I had tire balance problems like I have had before the steering wheel shaking. So who would look at the driveshalf and u joints to see if that is the problem ?

Re: I Found a Shop That Can Replace WK U-Joints…

I have remained quiet as I don't want to come across all negative Nancy, but thus far the ONLY thing that has happened was my fears were realized. As I said and others after me, the risk for damage and destruction is FAR too great.

Also, you commented on it not being centered not being a problem, it IS out of balance if it is not centered, the reason you had a vibration when the cap came out (the joint was further from center), and even if you have a difficult time feeling it through the drivetrain and rubber mounts and bushings I PROMISE you your pinion bearings feel it and don't appreciate it. But hey, you saved 600 dollars fixing the driveshaft whats paying a shop 1100 dollars to overhaul your diff that will just need to be overhauled again because the driveshaft is STILL not balanced.

I have the utmost respect for what you have done, but until a year has passed on a repair and it drives amazing you have not proven ANYTHING about replacing the ujoint. I would hope that others that may be interested in trying this realize your being ok with it failing and your trying to make it work is not an indication that joe schmoe can just go out and do this in his driveway and pull it off without a hitch. When you first got it, yes I did post a little pessimistic comment but after that I sat back and waited for the follow up posts explaining it wasn't working as anticipated... and it happened... quicker than expected.

For those wanting to do this, its dangerous and can cause other failures that cost A LOT more than a new driveshaft. You have been warned.
