Ignition Issue

Have a 2007 JGC 3.7 intermittent issue while starting. No crank but clicks and a short buzzing from the engine. First two times started after a few min. Battery and everything checks out. Last time not starting for hours then it started. Took it to a garage and they couldn't diagnose because it started for two days while there. Today after a few days of starting issue has come back. Turn the ignition and some clicks and short bussing sound from the engine but no crank. Any ideas?

Re: Ignition Issue

4 items start the jeep.

the battery
the starter
the relay
ignition sw.

IMo its the baatery. go look for all the posts that start out like yours, battery is good, then end up with 'it was the battery.

any shop should be able to determine which of the 3 it is............dont pay the stealer.

Re: Ignition Issue

Starter, same thing with me clicks it would start after a couple times of the clicking took it the dealer I have the ext. warranty and was diagnosed with a bad starter, I guess its a common problem. But take a meter to your battery and see what you got, or take to one of the chain stores they can usually test everything for free.
