Install Help.

Ok so I want to plug this connector into the back of my REC radio. It will apparently replace the SAT function and replace it with AUX. I bought this blindly, and when I tried to hook it up, I got the radio half out of the bracket and then cut my losses and put it back when I realized I didn't know how to disconnect it, and I was working in the dark (lol). This is the connector, does anybody know how it works, what I would disconnect, and where I would feed the cable to? Or, know of somebody in the Toronto area that can help/do it for me? PLEASE HELP

Re: Install Help.

yeah I did that, but it seems that the existing RCA cables are really tight, and I'm not sure I can get my hand back there to reconnect them.

I was able to disconnect the antenna, but stopped there when I couldnt get to the back of the unit without pushing out the cables with a screwdriver or something...mines an 07, would it be different?

Also, I don't see anywhere that I could put that box, except in front of the passenger airbag (bad idea?) and I simply do not have enough room to work. Anybody done this or know where I can find a tutorial?

Re: Install Help.

Got a tutorial? What kinda risk is there? I don't want to really screw something up.

Re: Install Help.

remove the neg terminal from the battery, pull off the nav bezel, remove the 4 screws, pull the radio out and disconnect the wires. then do the opposite.
