Lots of questions!!!
I got all the parts from user Shadohc, but you can get everything from either a company called coastaltech or E-bay. There is a user ( oempartsco) that sells everything for a great price, including a "kit" for most of what you need:
this is the the lockpick ADAPTOR (not to be confused with a regular Lockpick)
this is for the REC Filler piece, which is the square piece of trim needed to fill the gaps in the REC bezel piece.
This is the the Radio itself (RER). Lots can be found on ebay so keep your eye open for a better deal on the actual radio.
To answer your other questions: the steering wheel controls work flawlessly! Also, as far as Uconnect goes, for my specific mirror I bought a mopar adaptor cable which allowed me to just hook my mirror (or at least the microphone part of it anyways) into the RER
Mopar P/n: 82211666
Of course for someone who either A: has a Laredo WITHOUT a uconnect mirror and doesn't want to spend $600 on one or B: someone who has the mirror but just wants to spend $20 instead of $120 another option is to just buy this very cheap microphone and plug it in the back (just plugs right in):

I wanted to add that the adapter bezel can easily be primered and painted to match the radio bezel and the radio color.
You did an amazing job on painting your bezel piece, I plan on doing the same with mine. as for the clock; Harmon Becker releases normal updates but also certain "clockfix" versions of the updates, the lastest CLOCKFIX version is 2.067 which can be found here:
it's already in a convenient ISO so all you do is burn the iso.
all versions of the software can be up OR downgraded at anytime so dont worry if something either isn't to your liking or if something goes wrong.
This update will make it so the clock works normally, it will go by GPS time, Mine works great.
Note: the 2.067 software should ONLY be used on this specific type of install (an RER unit installed into a pre-2008 vehicle with the mygig adaptor)

I use the uconnect through the radio itself, I honestly haven't tried the buttons on the mirror since the install.
As for the trim piece I've posted a link just above ^^
Basically folks it is a very easy install, it's totally plug and play, no cutting wires or anything like that unless you use the type of configuration I did for my iPod (which allows not only video signal to come from the cable, but also gives my ipod the ability to charge.
Complete parts list:
1. RER (or REN) radio
2. Mygig Adaptor KIT (kit includes the adaptor itself, a cable to allow you to hook up your reverse cam/ ipod/ rer VES, an adaptor to make your current am/fm cable work, ipod cable)
3. Trim piece
4. REC Bezel piece (REQUIRED if you don't currently have the REC navigation)
5. GPS antenna
6. Sirius antenna
The antennas and microphone are dirt cheap if you get them from ebay or coastaltech however the REC bezel piece cost me $170 from the dealer. P/N 5JN311DHAO for Slate gray and 5JN311J8AO for Khaki
Information on the software updates and how to install the software updates can be found at :
If anyone has any problems during an install (recalibrating the GPS once you recieve the radio, fitment, wiring, updates, etc) feel free to PM me, i've spent quite some time researching this.
HUGE shoutout to user Milous and WKJEEPS.com (http://www.wkjeeps.com
) for the massive amount of info I was able to learn from the site in order to do the install.
