the 8th plug is under the dash and covered by two hoses and two dipsticks. it has nothing to do with extensions, i had the right tools and that one was still a PITA. there is only one way to get it out and it takes alot to find it lol

Same here basically. Commute to work is about 3.5 miles each way in stop and go traffic and I get about 11.7 MPG...with a 3.7L!

Heavy SUV's with V8's get bad gas mileage... am I missing something here?

I can get ~20 on my 5.7. This is on highway with a light foot and electronics and A/C off. My Commander and 5.9 limited were on the heavy end of gas guzzlers I've owned.

But honestly. None of us bought a Jeep because of the fuel economy, right?

The MDS was a good selling point

I bought my Jeep because it's sexay .. not for gas. But ftr w/ a/c off, cruise control on and MDS enabled I can easily get 21mpg on the highway @ 65 mph.

It's the same as a WJ. it's way the hell back there, trust me. definitely not fun, but doable. To swap intake manifolds there are bolts behind there too

I dont know what the hell you guys are doing, but I get 16+ mixed with my lifted 4.7 with a ton of miles on it. I realize that the WK is a little heavier, but cmon, lay off the gas

Yeah, I was coming down the hill from Bachelor. Figured I'd make myself feel better about the whole thing. If I remember correctly, I went quite a ways to get it up there.
