Re: Is this removable?

Yes it is removable. I believe you have to open your glove box and you can unscrew it from there. Are you trying to Paint it?

PS: Nice color choice btw! Light KHAKI FTW!

Re: Is this removable?

Yes, I would like to paint it...

From the glovebox to the antenna seems like a long way but I'll check it out.

Thanks.

They now sell something called back to black if you want to make it look like brand new.

Re: Is this removable?

It is removable. You have to take off the antenna and then the chrome cap. But 05Wk is right back to black works great... may take a few coats like mine did.

Re: Is this removable?

you can get to it by removing the 2 rivets on the rear side of the front fender liner. down side is you need to be able to replace those 2 rivets when done.

This, take the antenna off, then use the special tool... or the tips of needle nose pliers in the slots on that chrome cap and rightie tightie leftie loosie. IIRC the base inside of the fender may drop into the fender...

its been a while since I have replaced that assembly.

Also as mentioned, back to black would probably do all you want.
