Jeep WK Upper Front Differential Mount Bushing in Polyurethane

I went ahead and built poly bushings for my front differential. I focused on building the notorious upper mount that, once you replace it, you never want to do it again. I wanted to use poly for its longevity but did not want the extra NVH so I used softer poly for that. I designed the bushing to be a bit more beefy and seem to have struck a happy balance between performance and comfort. Here are few pictures. I am also listing the extra few pieces I built on ebay if anyone is interested. Thanks for checking.

This is also the same as the other side mount, correct? Then there is a front one in a bracket. Are you making all of them?

You are correct. The pinion mount is the same as the passenger side mount. I also built the transverse assembly for the front mount. Basically you press out the transverse arm in the front assembly and insert mine. Mine is made of Steel and Polyurethane. The original piece is aluminum and rubber and was often reported to break or crack. Here is a picture of my mounted assembly.

Do you know anything about HHP's Solid Bushing, used only for the top mount?

It is more performance oriented geared for the SRT8 platform. I heard from users that it transmits more NVH into the cabin due to the hard Polyurethane compound and hard aluminum casing used to make the bushing. This is actually desirable for track and performance usage but may not be for everyone using their rigs for daily drivers.

Gotcha! Well my other car is a corvette I have set up for racing, so a little extra NVH won't bother me. I will definitely get a hold of you when I need the lower bushings so everything holds up better. Also, the google picture I couldn't get to show.

Re: Jeep WK Upper Front Differential Mount Bushing in Polyurethane

The set I purchased just came in today. Do you have any recomendations for installing the front lower bushing into the reused portion of the stock mount?

If you have the original one apart already, your easiest means of installation is to use a hydraulic press. If not available then use a vice, put the receiving mount in it, get a 6 " long tube of the proper diameter and hammer on the sleeve to press it in. Use good amount of lube on the metal when doing that.
