Re: laser jammer

If you going to go with a Laser Jammer go with a M1 or a Escort Shift ZR4. I had a thread about this a while back.

Re: laser jammer

I never used one but I can give you some tips. Before you spend the money, are you sure that the places you drive have police using the LIDAR system? There is only 2 places that I travel that uses it and I normally drive through there when its busy so I work the traffic so even if he/she do get my speed, they can't pull out to get me due to heavy traffic. So at least for me, I really wouldn't buy a jammer. But if you are in areas were you have TE units that is using LIDARs then, hide the unit well and still slow down if its just you and another car on the road. Jammers are only good if your in busy traffic. If your in light traffic, even though a police officer can't get your speed, he can get the speed of the car that your passing or about to pass and then just guess your speed and pull you over. Then that would open up a can of questions that you may not want to be asked. On top of that, in states that laser jammers are legal, police still think that its illegal since radar jammers are illegal and try to give you shit about it. Make sure that your state doesn't have laws against jammers, unless you don't care if its legal or not. Its for those reasons that I posted above is the reason why my cars do not have jammers on them, plus I drive to a police station often and already get talked about with my radar detector on the car

However, if your still set on getting one then I would go with the M1. I don't know enough about the Escort Shift to approve it or not approve it.

Re: laser jammer

I personally run a ZR3 on my Mustang and can say that it has saved me from 3 tickets in the last 12 months. No experience with the other brands but mine has been great with the Escort.
