Re: leaking inside

Funny you mention its a "factory defect" but yet they wont cover it. Completely blows. I took my ride in today to a private auto shop for Rotor change and mentioned the leak to him. He air pressured/vaccuumed thru the Sunroof drains and poured water. We'll see how well that does in the next rain storm. I also cleaned out underneath the side molding on the side of the windshield and there was alot of "crud" especially at the top. This was mentioned on another thread about the leak and he said cleaning that got rid of his leak. To get underneath the molding you need to have your driver/passenger door open. Hopefully this works as opposed to a 4 day visit to the stealership, in which btw I called this morning and he said to bring it in tomorrow because they were "swamped". I'll hold off until the next rain falls. BTW while I was on my way to pick up my Jeep from the private auto shop nearby, the owner actually went online and looked at all the TSB's and recalls and said this is a major issue that alot of Jeep owners are having, that we users and he confirms ofcourse (thanks to Google). We should all WRITE and keep Calling to Corporate so a recall could be made.

Re: leaking inside

I forgot to mention my mechanic recommended I file a complaint on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website as 1) it is a safety issue if you driving and it leaks on the driver side, 2) enough complaint will possibly force JEEP to impose a recall and not just notums.
Maybe if we all file a complaint it will be more noticed rather than dealerships getting complaints and not doing anything about it, but getting cash off it.

Here is the link:
https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/
The link should be directed to the complaint page if not go to:
http://www.nhtsa.gov/ and click on File a complaint on the top right hand-corner.
