Leather Door Bolsters

Just an FYI to anyone that's interested... I bought some used SRT8 door panels with the leather bolsters and removed them and installed them on my laredox door panels.... Easiest mod besides changing the fake aluminum to the real aluminum trim that comes in the s-limited... For anyone that wants to change theirs, you just remove the door panel and there are 5 screws that hold the bolster to the panel... Just swap bolsters reinstall and make sure to get the matching leather wrapped instrument cluster and you now have the leather appearance group!!!!ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1404223428.583011.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1404223439.480371.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1404223466.767418.jpg

Re: Leather Door Bolsters

That looks really good!

Can you elaborate a bit on the parts? Where did you find them, are they easy to come by? Do you have part numbers? What years are the parts interchangeable with?

Thanks!
Chris

Re: Leather Door Bolsters

Interchangeable on 08-10 door panels and the leather appearance group came on the 09 Limited, SRT8 and Overland and the 10 Limited, S-Limited and SRT-8... As far as I've been able to tell the armrests are not available separate from Mopar. You could just swap the whole door panel but the used SRT8 panels I got were in bad shape otherwise except for the armrests and my panels were perfect so I just swapped the armrests... I just wanted to pass it on because there is a lot of bad information on this forum from people who think they know it all about these models ie I was told the armrests are plastic welded to the panel which as I discovered is not true... The armrests are held on by screws.

Re: Leather Door Bolsters

Just found out another supplier informed me you can get the armrests separately... I guess the dealer i go through was too lazy to figure it out... The armrests are close to 300 a piece though so going the used route is quite a bit cheaper.
