Re: lighter cover/power outlet cover

Dealer said it was part # 56008852. But in the picture that appears to be the aux power outlet cover.

Re: lighter cover/power outlet cover

just an option if ya want to dress it up a bit, u can get the billet aluminum covers in any color or custom printed/etched from billet sellers, i almost got it but decided im never gonna use it as i use the ports more often than not. gl though

the cap pictured in the ebay auction is exactly the ones i got for my old WJ at he dealership last year but they only charged 2 bucks a pop (bought two)

gl bro

edit---i never had a part number, i just told em what i needed they looked it up, checked and it was in the back in plastic bags unopened-fresh and new.

Re: lighter cover/power outlet cover

I like and prefer metal (alum and stainless), but would it be a good idea to use metal on a 12 VDC accessory port?

Re: lighter cover/power outlet cover

Ugh the metal ones are hideous! The Grand Cherokee isn't that kind of car IMHO. That "tunerfies" it. I ordered them from steve white motors for $2.56.

Re: lighter cover/power outlet cover

nice sweet deal yo. actually the billet covers can be painted any color by the manufacturer though- mine would be black (not much of an eye sore there) and im wrong for mentioning the billet caps cause it slipped my mind that the metal caps that actually go over the existing plastic caps (just a dress up mod) not a direct replacement.

glad you got it cheap too, just about what i paid for mine with tax included

cheers-

Re: lighter cover/power outlet cover

I found my original one when I vacuumed the truck the other day under the front seat. So I now have an extra one if someone needs it. Let me know. I'll sell for $5 shipped.

Re: lighter cover/power outlet cover

Also bear in mind that the outlets are different sizes. The one on the left (powered with ignition) is smaller than the one on the right (power present at all times). Same deal with the outlet in the rear, it's a larger diameter. This can be problematic if you've got accessories designed to fit only in the slightly smaller outlet (like a flashlight).
