Low Side Port for '05 Grand Cherokee. Where is it??

Hello to all, I'm new to the board and have a question for you folks. I'm trying to add refrigerant in my '05 GC and am trying to locate the low port. I found the high port easily but am having trouble locating the low. Has anyone on here had to add refrigerant and had similar issues? Help!

I never had any problems with mine. Maybe you should try and clean your condensor.

What is the issue that you are having?

Re: Low Side Port for '05 Grand Cherokee. Where is it??

05 with what engine?

According to the service manual:
Quote:
HIGH PRESSURE GAUGE HOSE – The high pressure hose attaches to the high side service port. This service port is located on the top of the reciever/drier.
LOW PRESSURE GAUGE HOSE – The low pressure hose attaches to the low side service port. This service port is located on the A/C suction line near the A/C expansion valve.
The low side port is up top near the firewall. The high side port is on the top of the drier, mounted next to the radiator fan.

It's a bad idea to just 'add refrigerant' without properly evacuating the whole system, and properly replenishing the oil in it.
