I have the NV140 single speed transfer case. Will be changing out fluid for the first time (myself, dealer had done it on other occasions).
WK jeeps lists the transfer case drain plug torque at 15-25 lb ft
1. No listed values for the transfer case damper bolts, should I tighten them to the same values? Or just snug.
2. No listed values for the transfer case fill plug. I will just do 15-25 lb ft for that one, I assume.
3. Do you guys suggest a little dab of anti seize on any of these bolts? (I know that putting anti seize changes the amount of torque applied before the wrench clicks)
4. Jack stands on the WK, can I put them under the front crossmember (not radiator support obviously)? The WK jeeps lift point guide only puts the jack points on the LCA and the front frame lift, but has no mention of the jack stands.
Thanks, I'm not completely mechanically inept but never got around to doing some of the simple maintenance procedures myself instead of paying someone. Just did plugs and drive belt for the first time and will be doing front brakes next (hopefully they are not frozen on!). Planning on still having dealer do front and rear diff because the cost of the fluid is pretty high and dealer here only charges 60 per axle.
