MDS; RP vs. Synpower
I've been using Royal Purple 5W20 for the past 2 oil changes in the 5.7 and just put in the new Valvoline Synpower. I can now barely notice at all when the MDS kicks on and off, while with RP I could hear and feel it every time it would happen, even when the oil was new. After pouring in the Synpower, It appears RP is thicker, i.e higher viscosity, even though it is specified as the same weight. I am staying with Synpower for good now, even though it is a bit costly; also the only oil Ferrari now uses.
