Monroe Struts Opinions?

I just ordered a set of Monroe Sensa-trac struts for my 2005 WK. I was wondering what you guys thought of them. I don't do any offroading, mainly city driving with some highway. Paid 160 shipped for the set. Are they worth it and what will the ride be like? Thanks in advance guys.

Re: Monroe Struts Opinions?

Probably better than the stockers; A friend had them put on his Mazda pickup and they were more harsh over bumps than the worn stockers so he had the installer remove them after 30 days and put on the basic Gas-adjust Monroes and it rides smoother now.

Re: Monroe Struts Opinions?

Anyone else have an opinion the Monroe Sensa-trac struts for the front. After doing some reading, I see a lot of people like the Bilsteins. I might return the Monroes and pay a little bit more and get the Bilsteins because all Im hearing is good things about them.

Re: Monroe Struts Opinions?

I love my HD bilsteins for the WK...FYI they raise the Jeep a little over 1/4", but it got rid of the front-end "float" feel and I have put 15K miles on mine and would never go back to stock FWIW. The stock struts are CRAP, so anything is better (probably)...but after everyone recommended the Bilsteins, I went with them and am very happy. FYI - I only drive on-road (2wd), so the ride was greatly improved in sprinted driving as well as 80+ cruising on the freeway

Re: Monroe Struts Opinions?

Thanks a lot for the info. Im just going to return the Sensatracs I have coming in and then buy the Bilsteins, I have close to 156,000 miles on the stocks so anything is better than i have now. Looking forward to replacing them with Bilsteins! I will keep you guys updated once I receive them.

Thanks again everyone, Im glad I finally found a place to get advice from people who actually know what they're talking about based on what they have, not what they have heard.
