Mopar Cat back Exhaust

Does Mopar actually make the exhaust or is it made by another aftermarket company and sold by Mopar?

Does anyone have one of these systems? Does it have the Mopar emblem on the exhaust tip?

It's made by Borla.. I didn't like it personally. Just one man's opinion.

Can you tell me why you don't like it? Opinions are what I am looking for.

Re: Mopar Cat back Exhaust

Sure.. it's a cat back system with 2.5" piping and the stock system has 2.75" piping so it's more restrictive, and I could feel the restriction via butt-dyno... It doesn't come with a resonator so drone was an issue for me and to sum it up I had it on the Jeep for a few weeks and decided to just get a muffler put on for a much lower cost and I've been happy since.

That is what I am wanting. Just something slightly more noticable, but no cabin drone.

Re: Mopar Cat back Exhaust

i recently installed the magnaflow 12589 http://www.planetmagnaflow.com/shop/...12589-894.html

at idle and cruising, it isn't much louder than stock. when you get on it, you do notice it. there isn't any in cabin drone. it cost me $160 installed.

here is mine at WOT.

Re: Mopar Cat back Exhaust

^^^ I have the same thing and it's mellow at startup and idle but you hear it.. reminds me of the stock 5.9 sound (best thing I could compare it to) and this muffler combined with an intake makes for good sound during heavy acceleration.. and it purrs at 2100 rpm

Re: Mopar Cat back Exhaust

I have the Borla version , same thing with Borla logo on the tip. Sounds good at startup, awsome when on the loud pedal but turns to a wet fart when the MDS kicks in and has a drone between 2000 and 2500 when cruising which is 55 to 65 mph right where you spend most of your time driving . borla sent me a venturi insert to put in the muffler inlet that was supposed to help but did nothing but restore some low end torque.
