Re: More idle/stalling issue questions

Isn't there supposed to be a screw there? What is it? Could it be my smoking gun?

Re: More idle/stalling issue questions

Looks like part of the spark plug sensors or something? I can't find it exactly in the parts list. Looks like another unsatisfying trip to the dealer. Although I'm not sure if this is a vacuum leak or not.

Re: More idle/stalling issue questions

That's your cylinder 7 coil pack.
Yes, you definitely need that screwed down! It's very important.

Re: More idle/stalling issue questions

It's not the source of my suspected vacuum leak tho, is it?

Re: More idle/stalling issue questions

That pic above with the bolt missing has nothing to do with vacuum, that's ignition. The coil pack fires your spark plugs. I wouldn't say this is the source of your trouble as it is not throwing a mis-fire cylinder 7 code.

There are 3 different areas of codes also:
Active = It's doing it right now
Pending = Has happened but went away / Intermittent
Historic = Happened in the past

Have you checked all 3 areas?

Re: More idle/stalling issue questions

I took it in today and made a stink. They claim to have applied 5 updates although the receipt only states that they applied a PCM flash. Tech said he applied PCM, wireless, EGR, and two others flash modules.

Seems to be running better now, but I've only driven it back from the dealer. I'll report back. Thanks everyone for your help so far!

theres one just like it beside it...so it has to be part of the spark system....probably the coil. That def. needs a screw IMO.
I keep coming back to the EGR....maybe it needs some sort of update?

Re: More idle/stalling issue questions

Yes, I'd like to see 02S11 and 02S21,but they need to have the same resolution on the graph (same high and low numbers displayed on the graph)
