Psh, 4 hours? By the time you travel to and from the airport, go through security, and then fly, you could have already been there and in your own vehicle!

Its not needed unless you plan on going off road or trailering something.

I have a 2wd v6, all I need in South FL. However this is also my first SUV. Ive had a couple trucks but mostly german cars slammed

Some of the baddest 4WD vehicles I've ever seen were in Fl. Guys go out in the glades and go muddin....They find a gator hole and guys keep going through it until somebody gets stuck. Then the fun is to snatch him out with a nylon strap.
Not my idea of fun, but there are a whole lotta guys playin in the mud down there.
The "sugar sand" is a sob too, and it'll stop almost anything if it's not done right.
And don't know if you're a hunter or not, but you won't even get close to the good hunting without a serious, serious off road vehicle.

Re: Moving to FL, do i really need 4wd ?

I would rather not trash my nice SUV and use a truck instead. Mudding is fun and all, but I would rather use a truck I care less about than my Jeep. I had a Wrangler in the family and used it off road, fun stuff. But my trucks have been better for that sort of stuff. There are tons of guys who have raised trucks and beaters. If your a grown adult with kids(like myself) a raised Jeep WK is just pointless. I dont have that kind of time and if I did I would just take my '86 Ranger 4x4 out.

Oh no....wouldn't find me taking my GC out in the mud. You're right...that's for too tall trucks and Jeep CJs with gumbo monster mudders. I didn't like muddin when I was in my twenties, I sure wouldn't like it now!
