Re: MPG Drop, Somethings Wrong

plugs, pcv, check all your fluids/filters.. if you bumped your tire size up within 2" of the stock size the dealer can reprogram your speedo. anything over that you will need to look into a tuner/programmer.

Negitive, its running for about 20 to 30 seconds before its in gear while I call into county on the radio that im responding. Then I take it easy down my street so I dont wake up the neighbors cause of the loud exhaust, then once I hit the main road I get on it lol

Personally, I would shoot myself in the face if I had a v6 that got the milage my v8 gets... but thats just me ha ha

For the OP, everyone has mentioned good stuff... there is not any one thing that drives your fuel economy into the crapper, it would need to be looked over, oil change, spark plugs, air filter... on and on and on.

I bought my WK cash money in 2006 with very low miles on my own when I was in college. I got what I could afford. I'm happy with my purchase.

So far, the only mayor issue I've had was a leaking differential but it was due for the oil to be changed anyway.

Just over 87,000 miles going as strong as it was when I bought it. I definately have a winner/survivor.

And who knows.....your 4.7 could have been the one sitting next to mine on the lot the day I bought it. And for all we know...the transmission could fall out the bottom of the 4.7 you bought tomorrow......

I'm just saying....happy with my purchase. Lol.

Re: MPG Drop, Somethings Wrong

I got better mileage when i put my bigger tires on.
when i had my factory tires on i was getting 12/13 mpg
when i put my 22's on i'm getting 16/17 mpg Thats a big
diff. i don't have no CAI, muffler are any mods yet. So
i'm happy as can be with my 06 4.7
That 16/17 mpg is city driving to.
Guess when they said gas prices cost an arm & a leg i lost
my leg (my lead foot is gone) i lost it.
