mufflers done, quiet replacement?

so i got a call from my buddy thats going over my WK. the baffles in the muffler are shot at 62k on my 2007. im looking for a replacement thats relatively quiet, similar to the OEM muffler. ive had the fm40 series on my TJ, the magnaflow on my xj.. i want to keep her pretty quiet. what are you suggestions? thanks in advance.

Re: mufflers done, quiet replacement?

you will need a muffler in similar size to keep it oem quiet. Someone on here should have a low mile oem muffler to sell you or maybe give you. But IMO...there are underlying problems if your baffle are deteriorated.

Re: mufflers done, quiet replacement?

Ordered a 22" magnaflow an hour ago. Scott, they weren't deteriorated- my buddy didn't seem to think too much about it. If there were underlying problems I'm sure he'd find out what they were. I've read a few threads on here about peoples mufflers taking a dump on them around 60 or so. The cats fine, manifolds are good, she's getting her 60k service..

Re: mufflers done, quiet replacement?

Magnaflow eh? I never knew them for being quiet. However, I have a thread around here about my walker quiet flow ss. I never did get a video up but definitely a great replacement for OEM quality and sound. Nice and quiet for sure.
