Hey bud do you have more pics of your rear bumper setup? I see you have a hitch fit in there, was that done custom? I've been wanting an srt bumper but haven't been wanting to get rid of the hitch...

I think that's the original hitch, the space on the srt rear should be large enough for it....

Yeah but the space on the srt bumper is lower than the stock bumper. So the hitch has to be dropped down a couple inches

Don't want to hijack, Jeff's thread....well maybe just a little. Yes, that is a "not so stock" WK hitch under the SRT rear bumper. The way I have it reinforced I'll bet it'll tow 8000+ lbs. without issue. It would probably rip the frame out before the hitch failed. It's much more substantial than the stock setup was. IIRC it's about a drop of around 4 inches over the stock setup. Also, the stock setup is held to the frame with two bolts....mine is wider where it mounts to the frame and uses 4 bolts. The drop has to be a little more than you'd expect because the opening in the SRT bumper is a fair amount smaller than on the stock bumper. The wiring connector plug is where it almost hits the bumper. I only have about a 1/16-1/8 in. clearance between the plug and the bumper.

Those are Airtab vortex generators on the back. Airtab: Aerodynamic fuel savers for truck, tractor, trailer, bus, RV If you go to the website, be sure to go to the bottom and watch the video, and read the discussion papers, especially the one where the guy runs his Sprinter in the wind tunnel...."An Expediter and his Airtabs". Also, if you're interested in aerodynamics and airflow read the paper on "Airflow". Both are kind of interesting reading. I've had these on my LX for about 7-8 years (just across the top) and on the WK almost as long as I've owned it. I don't have them mounted quite as directed, because my main goal at the time was to keep the rear window clean.....which it does very well above ~45 mph. In town, no deal. Also, when larger vehicles pass you, they can't stop the spray if it's raining. They do offer a little directional stability when trucks pass going the other way on two lane roads. As far as fuel economy goes, it's hard to tell, but I do think there may be a slight improvement. I didn't do before/after mileage tests on these like I usually do on mods. since, at the time, my goal was a cleaner rear window. On the LX I have experimented with different placements though, including under the front and rear of the vehicle and in front of suspenion components. As far as keeping the rear window clean, on my last 2400 mile trip (no bad weather) I didn't have to clean or wipe it off even once. Average mpg for that trip was just over 22 mpg. The LX routinely gets 27-28 mpg with a best of just over 30 mpg. Both are modded similar, with nearly 400 hp. Hemi's under the hood.
