Re: My gas mileage sucks!!!

I can live with the 20 hwy mpg I get now, but city mpg is horrible on these things, even with a light foot and with the price at the pump nearing $4 here again, I'm really tired of it. I'd sell mine in a heartbeat to get something more reliable and fuel efficient, but resale value, depreciation is one of the worst of any vehicle. Just glad I didn't get the SRT, as I imagine city mpg has to be under 10.

The fact that you can get a 10 yr old 7 series bmw for as much as your grand cherokee should make you happy with what resale value yours does have considering getting a car that costed over 100k back then... there is much worse resale

yours 45k (guessing), current value 15+k (guessing), 30k depreciation divided between 5 years and your looking at 6k a year...

2001 bmw 7 series 105k (guessing, wife has a co worker who has one and was friends with the original owner, a student from dubai). current value 15+k, 90k depreciation divided between 10 years and you have 9k dollars.

It could be worse, and there is much worse.

btw I think toyota is having a huge sale on their prius

2002 Grand Cherokee 4.7L V8 H.O. with 32'' M/T Tires, 4in lift, K&N 57 series FIPK CAI, all = to a whopping 9.5 MPG average . Honestly I don't care, But with rising gas prices...I wish my MPG would be better so I could have more mod money

Re: My gas mileage sucks!!!

I too have horrible milage - 245/75 tires and an OME lift on an 05 3.7 V6 gives me around 11.5 - 12 MPG. Any suggestions?

I've heard some guys say that tuners or programmers actually help a little. I dont have one on my Jeep but maybe some of the guys who do may be able to chime in on this.

Re: My gas mileage sucks!!!

14.0 to 16mpg over here..
depends on driving style really.. the 14.0 comes in when i keep accelerating hard.. now with a rather docile driving i'm averaging 16.0 and better.

i do have a couple of mods tho:
Bwoody cai, magnaflow, SC tuner, ported TB, they say these mods will help increase your milage.. what a bunch of croc.. the second i hear the roar from the cai and exhaust i want to go WOT lol.

Re: My gas mileage sucks!!!

05 4.7 WK 265/65/17 tires, 10 city 15 highway, But since the tire size is bigger the speedo and odometer are off and so is the reading of the evic. Since putting them on and doing some research my gas mileage only changed about .5 mpg at the most with the slightly larger tires. I was all freaked out at first until i realized that until it donned on me that its a calibration issue more then a real issue. I still fill up the same time every week.

5.7Unlimited is just really nice
Re: My gas mileage sucks!!!

I get 200 (two hundred) MPG on average, which is important to me because that's why I bought my 5000lb 330hp V8 powered SUV.

But seriously I don't even know what I get, but I can go a bit over 450 KM on one tank on the highway and that's all I care about.
