My thoughts of Quadra Drive II and the WK in the snow

We had over 20 inches of snow over the weekend and I finally had the chance to get the WK in some real snow and give it a try.

I am just now getting to post up due to not having power all weekend.

The WK feels very solid in the snow. The quadra drive is awesome in keeping all 4 tires pulling and never once even so much as turned a tire when I was pushing snow up to the grill. It is a great 4wd system. I passed about 100 stuck and abandoned vehicles when I went Christmas shopping Saturday night.

Here is a few pics of the first morning of the storm.

Great pics. I have QTII whick is not as effective as QDII but I can tell you it works very well in snow and off road. Jeep got these systems right.

Looking at your pics, makes me wish I lived in a state that didn't require a front license plate!

We didnt get much, i think maybe 2-3 inches or so in the burbs, but i tell you, coming from a rear wheel drive 5 speed manual chevy s-10 to the jeep... Its night and day

I turned traction control off and tried to kick out the back end, and the result was very mild.. In my truck, i could have spun all the way around

wow....20"? No thanks! Looks pretty....but no power and abandoned vehicles? Yuck

I had no doubt the WK would be fine!

As ive Posted this before, i live on long island, 27 inches were i was, i cleaned the snow off my door, got in started her up, and pulled out without plowing or anything without an issue, i mean dont get me wrong you have to be careful when driving in the snow, but this jeep drives like it wasnt there pushing it down and plowing through it all. Now my Gf's Jeep Not So Much, Stuck....granted there was a rut there but the wheels that had traction wouldnt move lol so i told my gf to give it some gas and gave the jeep a push and it was free lol. But The Quadra Drive II and the Sahara wheels and tires Make a huge Difference. I even went into a parking lot where they hadnt plowed and made some trails of my own, even climbed over a curb with 2ft of snow on it, all with my lower air damn on, which had no damage but im sure if i took it off would allow me to do more but im content! I was like a child on xmas waiting to get up after the storm hit so i could be the first out on the block lol and i was. Many other cars got stuck, and even a WJ who i offered assistance to. He Got Free. I Love it when it snows, Jeeps Make Life Easier. I Was able to go out get some Hot Coco....Loves his jeep lol

Looks awesome guys. I was really disappointed with this storm. Usually the NH area get hits hard while Mass south gets a dusting and what happens for the first time in a long time, Southern new england gets hit hard and states south of that and little old NH got 1 to 3" of snow. WTF. I did manage to get some donuts in but i was looking forward to trying out my WK in some deep fluff.
