Need help with an 05!

I'm looking to purchase an 05 GC w/ 72K and the steering wheel is worn at the 12'0clock and the drivers seat has a slight tear on the sliding in and out of the vehicle.

Is this an easy fix? Do I have to replace the whole steering wheel? How about the seat? Can an upholstery shop do this?

Re: Need help with an 05!

Both are pretty common wear and tear items.

You can certainly remove the wheel and have a place re-wrap it. Many people take the opportunity to upgrade their steering wheel to a wood wrapped one. You can get them online for a good price, and swapping them out is fairly straight forward (search the forum and you'll find some good writeups of people doing this).

As to the tear in the seat, I fixed mine with a 3M leather upholstery repair kit. It took a few attempts at mixing the stuff to get the color correct, and it wasn't the easiest stuff to work with, but it got the job done. If you have a larger tear and/or hole, a cover or trip to auto upholstery shop may be the way to go.
