New HID fogs

Just installed the HID fogs which i got from Just4jeeps. The install was easy just finding a spot to mount the ballast was the only tedious task. The dealership in my area wanted $160 to turn them on via starscan. They kept telling me the had to call jeep on the mainland to get permission to trun my fogs on. After talking to several service reps and showing them the directions and post from jeepgarage they agreed to do it for 70.00. Sorry for the pics taken with my phone. Better pics when finish my headlights

Re: New HID fogs

nice, i had an ordeal with my dealership too recently to turn mine on they wanted $100 and i called the other dealerships in the area who only wanted $50... my dad called back and was like we bought 5 cars from you and have been taking them to you for 7 years you can do it for the same price as the other dealers and they agreed haha its such a scam especially when you know what they actually have to do.

Re: New HID fogs

I you want an easy way to hook up your HID fogs, with a "factory" switch, that you wont need to go to the dealer for, just do what I did......
I have HID low beams, so decided I will probably never need my high beams (since the HID's are now brighter than my high beams anyways), so I disconnected my high beams, and just used a relay connected to one of the factory high beam connectors to power my HID fogs.....Now, when I want to turn on my fog lights, I just have to pull the factory light switch forward (just as you would to turn on your high beams), and whallah, fog lights come on.

If I go in to the dealer for something like an oil change, they flash my PCM for $FREE.00
