Re: New HID kit flickering Please HELP

HID kits without EMI filters will cause electrical interference. Im not sure if the Xentecs have an emi filter

Re: New HID kit flickering Please HELP

I have to agree...one relay for 2 lights is silly...IMHO

Re: New HID kit flickering Please HELP

Separate relay for each light is the best. Therefore if one of the lights goes out, then only that light goes out.

Using one relay, will cause both lights to go out, if that happens.

So no one knows what is grounded there?

If I got another relay I'm not even sure I'd know how to hook it up. That would be 2 battery connections, 4 grounds, etc. I can't even get the 2 grounds I have now to work right.

It works bro, search my thread, or scotts thread.

2 relays is the best, and there is plenty of room for grounds.

Re: New HID kit flickering Please HELP

that is the oem ground on the fender. I have my 08-10' HID lamps grounded theer and my Xenondepot Xtreme fogs grounded there.....no problem. You could have a ballast problem...

I have them exactly where scott has mentioned! On the stock oem ground, on each fender!

Check bulbs, then ballast, then make sure your relay is switching back and forth. I once had a relay issue where water got inside and caused rust inside, preventing the relay from switching back and forth all the time.

Should be an easy fix. What exactly is going on?

Re: New HID kit flickering Please HELP

Basically I have two problems:

1) My passenger side HID low is flickering.
2) My interior radio and dash lights flicker.

I am trying to figure out if they are possibly related, without taking out the HIDs and putting the stocks back in.

I think I read somehwere that the multifunctions stalks go faulty and cause interior lights to blink. (I have fogs and automatic lights) That's why i was trying to determine what else is grounded there.

Is there an ideal order for grounding at that spot? Should the HID ground be all the way on the inside, in between the two others, etc?

Re: New HID kit flickering Please HELP

I jsut stack them with the oem gorunds on the bottom and the hid grounds on the top. I would invest in 2 xenondepot 9006 hid relays. you'll thanks me later. you could also have some interference from the hid kit.

Re: New HID kit flickering Please HELP

I put my HID relay ground onto the OEM fender, and they were closet to the fender, stacked with the OEM grounds over top.

Yes..I would listen to scott, and get two relays. Xenondepot relays seem to work great!
