Just installed Xentec HID kit and my passenger light is flickering slightly. What could cause that? Im running both lights off of One relay. Do I need one for each?
i used the xentec kit and it came with 1 relay and 2 ballasts ... it's definitely a ground issue ... sand down the fender connection and make sure the metal is contacting properly
I dont think thats the issue.....I have never sanded a factory ground and all my stuff works perfect. Plus...if its the ground...why doesnt the drivers side have problems? They are on the same ground.
not the xentec kit at least to my knowledge ... my xentec kit comes with two ground and i have one grounded near the battery on the fender and the other right behind the coolant reservoir mount ... mine had the same problem as well the passenger side would flicker then i sanded it down and sandwiched that ground wire between two metal lugnuts and plates and now perfect ...
Mine didnt come with a relay kit, I made one. Both lights run off of one relay and are grounded together to the fender ground bolt. The light dont go out it pulses more than a flicker.
Added another relay to each headlight and the passenger headlight still "pulses". I ordered new bulbs and put those in and the same thing happened but cant notice it as bad. Any ideas what could be wrong?
I've had the same problem. Depending if your using your stock relay or not. I actually ordered a relay with my new hids I have. My stock relay couldn't handle it. But it could be a ground if its a new relay.
where are you guys getting your relays? if it doesn't work contact tony - http://jeepgarage.org/member.php?u=62
he is our hid vendor and his relays work!
What else is grounded at the spot circled in this picture and at the same spot on the passenger side? I too have a xentec kit with one relay and two grounds and my passenger side is flickering. My interior radio light and dash lights are flickering too. Trying to determine if they are related. I have the headlights grounded in the circled area on both sides. Could they be a bad ground and interfering with grounds for the interior lights? (if that's what is grounded there)
Only other reason I can think of for the interior flickering is a bad multifunction stalk.
