It'd be cool to do the door entry guards too.

Here is a shot in the sun light. I think it looks pretty nice. I did this side free hand without tape.

I'm personally not a fan of the extra HEMI badge. No disrespect intended, just my opinion. I'm a little overzealous when it comes to badging a Jeep. For instance, I can't stand the Jeeps that have had rear end damage and the shop doesn't put the badges on to match the factory placement (usually incorrectly placing the J or the P).

Anyway, that looks great! Did you press the tape down with anything besides your fingers like the backside of a plastic spoon?
Everyone has thier opinion of the badges. I, like you can not stand when the original badges are not placed in the correct locations from body work. I just wanted people to know it was a hemi, and the only place it said it was the rear. I really miss the 4x4 on the rear quarters under the side glass. I been thinking about sticking some of those on mine as well.

I only used my fingers to push the tape on.

Re: New mod done!! Painted Grand Cherokee lettering

Looks good and wondering what it looks like from a distance (I also have a silver wk and wasn't sure how it'd look and body color would be silly, lol)?

I think another way you could 'mask' on that and would be much easier and mroe effective is if you were to spread elmer's (school) glue and let it dry; paint...stuff should come off pretty easily after the paint's done and hate to think of the effort to mask all that.

Re: New mod done!! Painted Grand Cherokee lettering

I would like to have my letters black, but mine aren't engraved like that.. they're just 'stuck on.' LOL.

You really can't even see it from a distance.

Re: New mod done!! Painted Grand Cherokee lettering

Subtle then, good. I may have to do this now with a flat black, thanks (another thing to add ) , the contrast/color also blends with the lower rocker modings, athough I will eventually be removing them; say black sliders then, and trail rated badge (if equip). I've read about the glue trick and think I'll give something like that a shot over having to mask around all those letters, yikes! Reminds me of a time many years ago when I bought some Elite chrome wheels for my mustang and wanted the insets painted body color; wow, the masking around the details about drove me nuts...4 times)
