Well I got one side done this evening. It tood 3.5 hours to do one side and it sucked ass. I masked on it forever, and the paint still bled through around the edges. I am just going to free hand the other side tomorrow. I had to go back and take a q-tip and paint thinner to remove the paint lines.
Let me know what you think...
Masked off, thinking I was set.
Paint bleeding through screwing me over lol
Finished poor lighting.
Finished.
I will get some daylight shots tomorrow and post them. I think it looks way better than what it is showing.
I was thinking about doing this on my black moldings. Since the letters are raised, i was wondering if I could get a vinyl sticker made with the same font or close to it to just stick on the letters. Since my jeep is white, it might be easier to color match. I just dont know how long it would stay on and last?
I'm personally not a fan of the extra HEMI badge. No disrespect intended, just my opinion. I'm a little overzealous when it comes to badging a Jeep. For instance, I can't stand the Jeeps that have had rear end damage and the shop doesn't put the badges on to match the factory placement (usually incorrectly placing the J or the P).
Anyway, that looks great! Did you press the tape down with anything besides your fingers like the backside of a plastic spoon?

Everyone has thier opinion of the badges. I, like you can not stand when the original badges are not placed in the correct locations from body work. I just wanted people to know it was a hemi, and the only place it said it was the rear. I really miss the 4x4 on the rear quarters under the side glass. I been thinking about sticking some of those on mine as well.
That looks really good. I too was thinking about stickers on the black, raised molding but I don't think it would stick for long either. I think if I clean it well with alcohol and use body color paint it'll work.
