New mount on Backup Cam

Im posting this for anyone who is having a hard time deciding where to mount your backup camera. I originally mounted mine between the 7 pin harness and receiver. It didnt work out in that spot because it was to far back and my receiver was taking up the whole right side of the screen. I found a piece of metal in my garage and welded it right on to the hitch as you can see in the pic. I didnt think it was gonna be that strong because its just 2 spot welds holding it. I tried moving it to check for strength and I couldn't get it to move even the slightest bit. Had some black paint laying around and sprayed everything to match and hooked up my camera. PERFECT. Made adjustments to my cam and now everything looks great.

Re: New mount on Backup Cam

very nice mod. the factory location for the backup cam is not as useful for lining up the trailer hitch since its off center.
