Doing this should provide great flow and the enclosed filter element is nice if you like to get the Jeep dirty.

Thats what I got on my Hemi. I absolutely love it!!, you will too.

[QUOTE=CougarCruiser;136644]I know there's only a handfull of college football teams that know what it's like to go 0-fer on a season.

The UW Huskies do... So how's it feel?

whatever man.

"One terrible year is part of the past" -- look at how all defensive you got with one little comment. I love it! Sure, it's part of the past - but you guys still haven't proven you've risen from the kingdom of suck-a$$.

By the way - I never said the Cougs were championship caliber... or even 'good'. I just asked how it felt to have a zero-win season? Not many teams can say that in division 1 football. But, UW can.

Re: Next mod... CAI... which one? Voland, K&N, Air Raid?

I have the VOLANT in a 5.7L, the box did require some trimming to fit the intake into, I still wanted it to protect from road debris so I kept it on. The box to throttle tube does rest on a radiator hose. The sound is quite nice. As far as seat of your pants HP increase. It's not so much off the line but once you get going at around 30mph you feel the grand just jump forward into almost a whole another gear. I noticed a slight increase in mpg but can't tell anymore as CPU needs to reset for larger tires.

I had issues with the radiator hoses lying on top of the intake tube. I thought that it was not safe to do that because I do a lot of towing in the summer, and lot of driving in the winter. I have Joes old intake in my jeep now and have not had 1 issue. My MPG seems to increased by 4 mpg city and 5 to 8 mpg increase on the highway on long trips. I have the water protective cover over it since day one and no issue or problems (other than a led foot once in a while).

Interesting I notice more power in the low end gears and when im pulling 3k to 4k worth of weight. When I had the Bwoody, the truck just would skip right over the 2nd gear half the time.

Re: Next mod... CAI... which one? Voland, K&N, Air Raid?

Hey guys,

What's the general consensus on the K&N 63 series setup on the hemi's. It deletes the resonator box thing...

Good improvements? How's the intake noise on the K&N going to be compared to the Volant? I think the Volant will be quieter...

I think I found a smokin deal on the K&N setup... but I don't want alot of intake noise unless I stomp on it. At idle, general driving - I'd like to keep it close to 'quiet'.

Thoughts?

Re: Next mod... CAI... which one? Voland, K&N, Air Raid?

the quietest will be the Volant and its sealed box setup. The K&N has a lot of sucking noises at startup, while driving etc.
