NGK Spark Plugs?

Yesterday my brother in law and I did a little tuning up, replaced the PCV valve, Recharged the K&N Panel filter, and replaced the spark plugs.

Autozone was out of the champion platinum's so I went with the Bosch Platinum Plus plugs and they are fine. I read alot of posts about sticking with stock, and how non-stock will cause issues, startup problems, etc.. well I have none of that, it started up fine the first time and runs great since.

Back to the point of this thread, the stock plugs we pulled out were NGK! What do you guys think about that? I thought they were supposed to be Champion? lol

Re: NGK Spark Plugs?

The 3.7L uses NGK, non flex fuel 05-07 4.7L uses champion copper core, 08-10 4.7L uses bosch i believe. I think the newer hemi and the srt motors use different plugs as well.

Re: NGK Spark Plugs?

I have NGK Plugs in my Wifes car and they seem to be fine. Watch out with bosch platnum though, i hear alot of people saying that their gas mileage got really bad after putting them in.

Re: NGK Spark Plugs?

Well i use NGK (4306) LZTR5A-13 V-Power Spark Plug, that are suppose to be for the SRT8 WK, they are 1 step colder, and i use it in my 5.7 hemi 2006, and work really good.

Re: NGK Spark Plugs?

My choice would be the NGK Iridium plugs.

Re: NGK Spark Plugs?

Get copper grounds the burn better. Don't last as long but plugs are cheap.
