within the last week i have been hearing a high pitched whistle or scream on really tight left turns. anyone know the cause?

One obvious thing could be tires starting to have less and less tread on them. Mine used to squeal like a mother in parking garages and parking lots. Got new tires and turns are quiet as a mouse. This is probably something you should be able to eliminate right away if you have good tires. Just a thought.

Also had to get an alignment on the mothers WJ cause there was a grinding noise coming from the steering. That was taken care of. However there is a high pitched squeal from the WJ when making slight left turns and it happens for a split second. But I only notice it when I drive it...lol.

yeah like say Im in the gas station and making a manuever, they will squeal then, my XJ is bad. but it has a set of Michelin put on at 77, its at 132 today.55K miles and not done yet. so they wore well but it ALWAYS DOES IT. parking garages. I tyhink the concrete is too smooth.

what has happened to me is my brakes. my front rotor was slightly warped and i changed them and no more squeek or scratch when i turned left.
