O2 Sensors and Signal Wire...Which one is it>

I have a performance chip to install which connects to signal wire of the Air Intake Sensor and 2 of the O2 Sensors before the cat.

I know the signal wire of the AIS because my bud is a mechanic and had the hand held to show the electrical layout but it was outdated and we couldn't figure out which color wires were the signal wires on the O2 sensors.

I have a 2008 WK Laredo.

Anyone know which color wire is the signal wire for each O2?

Thanks.

What brand are the sensors? Different brands have different color wires.

What's the brand name of the Performance Wire. Is it the Power Wire from one of our vendors?

Re: O2 Sensors and Signal Wire...Which one is it>

its a chinese POWER WIRE.

its really only a warm weather mod. it adds or takes away some resistance on the power wire to the iat sensor in the intake. makes it thinks it cloder than it is. and you will be drinking gas a WOT.

search on power wire to see what you might find for resuklts.

sothe simple answer is its not a CHIP per se but something that alters the intake temp to trick the jeep into thinking its cold and it puts more fuel into the mix/

Re: O2 Sensors and Signal Wire...Which one is it>

Stock sensors should be NTK. The black wire is the signal wire, Grey is the ground and the two whites are for the sensor heater.

Re: O2 Sensors and Signal Wire...Which one is it>

Like robpp said, it fakes out the PCM by telling it that the intake air temp. (IAT) is cooler than it really is. Back in 05 I built an adjustable setup for my Hemi LX so I could make it warmer (up to ~200*+) or cooler (down to ~0* or <), and the difference it makes is really unmeasureable. IMO, any difference (if there is any) is well within any margin of error for climate conditions. I believe the theory is that if the PCM sees cooler, it will add a little more timing and improve mileage and performance. The problem is that the PCM uses inputs from other sensors (MAP, Throttle Position, Ambient Air, etc.) to determine engine settings, not just the IAT Sensor. I am not sure what the PCM does when it sees an IAT of say 40* and an ambient temp. of say 80*. I do know that if I change the settings on mine too fast (it must be done slowly), or go to unreasonable temps., it will set a MIL and DTC for IAT Sensor rationality.

Bottom line, don't waste your time and money.
