OEM Xenon's vs Aftermarket Xenon's???

I'm at the point where I'm definitely going to purchase some Xenon projector headlights. I want to purchase some aftermarket ones, but my concern is that they won't hold up. Everywhere I read talks about how aftermarket Xenon's die quicker than OEM ones. Why is this the case? If the aftermarket Xenon's are designed with quality ballasts, relays, projectors, bulbs, etc, then shouldn't they hold up just as long as the OEM? If not, then why? Please explain. Thanks!

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure the aftermarket eBay projectors are meant for halogen bulbs not HIDs, so they won't work as well, if your up to it, I suggest retrofitting some projectors into your stock headlamps, good luck!

Re: OEM Xenon's vs Aftermarket Xenon's???

ebay projectors are made for halogen lights as moe said. they look horrible, go with oem or do a projector retrofit like robpp did to his jeep.

Where can I find pictures of robpp's projector retrofits? I looked in his post under the Member's Rides section and I didn't see any there. Thanks.
