Re: OK, WTF is the rear axle type?

It WILL Fit, i compares my old 8.25 stock cover to the stock wk cover and they are 100% identical. I think you may have to remove the rear track bar though to fit the riddler in and then re install the riddler diff cover. If it does not clear the trac bar, just take a grinder to the skull on the cover. Its thick enough that it can be clearanced to fit.

Re: OK, WTF is the rear axle type?

LOL, thanks but i am saving for the same setup. I have alot i am saving for right now and so far $0 has been saved towards it.

Riddler Diff cover and LL Gasket
Bilstein rear shocks 5100 series not stock yellow series
New tires (needed before winter)
Mamba MR1 wheels silver/machined finish (hopeing to get by next summer) (going to buy 1 wheel asap and test fit it to make sure they look good on stock height, I work at a tire/wheel shop for now so that should be easy.
Weather Tech Liners to replace my Husky liners.
and the list goes on. Nothing in any particular order.

LOL

LL Gasket for the cover? and i am also looking into better shocks for the looks, i hate the Superride shocks i have even thos they function very nice. I might go with Edelbrock tho to be a bit different.
By the way, my savings is also at $0! lol

Re: OK, WTF is the rear axle type?

I've got lift - OME HD, 1.5inch spacers, then some armor - mainly 4x guard brushguard and belly skid. Hoping to get this done before winter.

I.. unlike you guys... have the cash for it now. :P Im just wary of spending all of it without a buffer + im dumping into loan to pay it off... only 2400$ to go boys! Yes I bought it in feb of this year and im almost done.

I want to get a Lube Locker Reusable diff gasket. They are amazing. I had them on my XJ for the D30 and D44 and you never need to replace them or use rtv or paper gaskets again. Just under $20 each i think.

As far as shocks go, Steer clear from the Edlebrocks. Edlebrock is starting to discontinue their shock line up and eventually they are not going to make them any more. I had IAS Remote resi edlebrock shocks on my XJ in front and Bilstein 5125 255/70 valved and the edlebrocks were nice but i should have spent the money on Rubiconexpress Remote resi shocks or Bilsteins.

I want to get Bilstein 5125 series shocks. They are the same as the 5100 series but you can choose what length and valving you want. The best valving for us would be 255/70.
Read pdf 5100 and 5125 to see benefits. http://www.bilsteinus.com/OffRoad_Jul08.pdf
http://www.bilsteinus.com/offroad_5125.php
http://www.shockwarehouse.com/site/bilstein_5125.cfm

Either that or i want to save up and get the new OME Nitrocharger sport remote resi rear shocks, or just get a reg set of OME shocks.

Re: OK, WTF is the rear axle type?

Sweet. Where did you get it from? I just got your PM and sent you links where i got my stuff from when i had my XJ.

I want to compare prices before i make the purchase.

I am also going to use Mobile 1 gear oil.

Dont forget guys, These covers are shipped bare cast steel.

They will rust.

Get some mineral spirits or paint thinner, clean it well with that to get the factory oil from the casting off. Then paint with 2 LIGHT coats of SELF ETCHING Primmer. Then give it a coat or two of your color of choice. Otherwise it will be rusty in days.

Re: OK, WTF is the rear axle type?

Cover was bought straight from Rokmen since 4wheel drive didn't have it listed, the gasket was from 4wheel.
