Opinion needed! I might be getting carried away

Ok so i found a 2005 wk limited hemi 4x4 with 74k miles for about 14k$

Im mot sure i could afford to finance and insure both that and my 2013 wk2 laredo v6 4x2 only 23k miles

If you had to choose witch one would u keep?

Any notorious issues or concerns?

ThNks!

Well I love my 05 WK Hemi, and I think that 4x2 Jeeps are a waste of space...so I'd get the WK.

I have a limited 05 with the hemi and 74k miles on it as well, and I absolutely love it. I think the biggest problems moving back in time on the models are going to be the t-case recall and whether or not it's been done, some interior comforts (though going from Laredo to limited this should just mean the radio head unit is a little low tech), and what your going to do with it once you have it. It's got a lot more miles than your 13, so there will be some maintenance items like fluid changes and possibly sensors or bearings, depending on how it was driven. Also, once you have power and capability, you suddenly feel the urge for more power and capability, and this cycle tends to be expensive. Just me, but I would go for the 05.

Edit: of course bones is right, newer is almost always better, and if you have the money trading up would be the better option. If you don't though, I would consider the 05 as long as it's in good shape. And if it's on a used car lot, don't trust them when they tell you it's perfect.

I assume that you want the Hemi, 4x4 or maybe both.

It's really a no-brainer. I wouldn't recommend trading down for something that's 8 years older with 3 times the mileage and also not knowing how it was driven and cared for.

If you're not satisfied with your V6 4x2 then it probably would be better to look at trading up instead of down to get what you want.

Re: Opinion needed! I might be getting carried away

i agree, i would not trade down to an 05. Even though i love my 06 diesel, i'd love to move up to a wk2 diesel or hemi instead.

unless you want to go seriously off road and not be worried about some scuffs that won't buff out. but then i would not fork out 14K for a WK. (they can be found cheaper, even in europe.)
