Over heating

Over heating
2005 grand cherokee 3.7 6 cly. The fan will not come on I replaced the sensor by the top rad. hose also I checked the high/ low fuses in the fuse center by the batt. also I installed a new fan as the old one made a cliking noise when I spun it by hand any way the fan will not come on is there a relay some where or what should I check next. The old fan had a ceramic block bolted to it with wires looked like fuseable link or something any way it was cracked it is on a short wire harness so i cut it out and joined the 2 wires still nothing please help
