So the other day I went to go get my seats cleaned, since Jeep decided to give me seats that stain with water. . . but anyway. . . after the cleaning was done the passenger air bag indicator light stays on. . .before it would be off if there was nothing in the seat and then turn on if the weight requirement was not met. . . If i sit in the seat the light turns off. . . Does anybody know how to turn that off or reset it so that it functions properly?
Did you make sure all the connections underneath were good and that nothing was jammed up under it? I had to go visit the dealer to have them recalibrate my seat. I don't know how it loses it's calibration but it does. One day my seat was fine the next it wasn't nothing was in the seat at all that whole week. The cost was approx. $80 at the dealer.
if all of the wires are currently connected and you unplugged them with the battery still connected then you will have to take the jeep to your dealer and have the seats recalibrated. call ahead first since all dealers do not do this work and like sean said, it will cost around $80
