I have 6,000k now in my halogen housing. I just want have an exotic look. I don't want the light output to be similar to cars like Lexus. I want it to be a little more standout'ish.
well 6k in a halogen housing is nothing compared to a 6K in a projector housing. in a halogen its scattered and force fed in your face.. projectors when pointed correctly are just on the road and looks very clean and sharp
i would agree with joe here. 6K is blue hue's - anything after that is "what the hell is that shiot"
i have 5K which is strictly white only hint of blue is on initial first seconds upon light up..then its straight white.
Halogen looks less blue than projector IMO. I think when the light passes through the glass in the projector it picks up more of a blue tint. I have 4300k in my projectors and it's bright white with a tint of blue. But depends if you're going for looks or function. Looks IMO 5-6k for function 4300-4500k
but seriously its hard to capture actual lighting to compare with out actually seeing it with your own eyes... even the best cameras can not capture the proper light output so then youd still be guessing until you actually see it in person...
sort of like how you can get a idea of an exhaust sound through a sound clip but dont really know what itll sound like until you actually hear it on your jeep or someones else jeep...
The pic I posted is with 6k projectors. (not against a wall but projectors nonetheless). Also trying to point out that if you have/want HID fogs as well it's not as easy to match.
