Plasti Dip ENTIRE WK?

So this might be weird... But has anyone ever considered plasti dipping their entire Jeep? Or even done it?

This guy did his Audi S4 in Black and then in White and I admit the white looks better, but I'm not a big fan of white WK's.

What do you all think? I've got a week off work coming up in September and I just might do this. After all, I can just peel it off if I don't like it...

Re: Plasti Dip ENTIRE WK?

i will admit the plastidip white audi is very clean. But i wouldnt do that to my entire jeep, that's crazy, waste of $$ and time. Even if you can remove it, do you really want to spend a day or 2 peeling piece by piece off?

Re: Plasti Dip ENTIRE WK?

I'm kind of tired of my silver, plus I'm thinking if I had enough layers, it would slightly help with rock chips in the winter, but I have plenty of them already. One of his posts says it only took him 30 minutes or so to get the black off. I might do the roof and hood first, just to try it out.

Re: Plasti Dip ENTIRE WK?

There was a member with a silver WK that plastidip his roof and hood, you can do a search on it to see if its the look you are going for.

Re: Plasti Dip ENTIRE WK?

It's very tough to get any dark color plastidip to look good on large flat portions (hood & doors would be worst). When you do something small and not flat (grill) it will be fine but the whole Jeep? Save your time and money and choose another plan.

Re: Plasti Dip ENTIRE WK?

Yeah I agree. The white would be the only way to go on large panels. The black will look blotchy. The white B8 looks sick!

I'm barely a fan of white cars, but that audi was done right. Swag

Re: Plasti Dip ENTIRE WK?

for the record plastidipped white would be a nightmare to keep clean (and white). It's not nearly as forgiving as paint is. Scrub off one bug and it'll look awful. Might be a fun thing to do for a show or something, or to impress friends on a trail-ride. Daily it will surely be a personal nightmare. Good luck though!

Re: Plasti Dip ENTIRE WK?

Yes, you just spray the plastidip on, sooo easy!!! I got mine at Lowe's, though I'm not sure if you can find it at the auto parts stores around your area.
