Those pics bring back memories of the good old Cherry Bomb mufflers.

Back in the day I had headers on the 440 in my 69 Charger. I slapped on a pair of Mercury Quiet Power header mufflers, which were a lot like the Cherry Bombs. That thing had the deepest, lowest, nastiest rumble... by far the best sounding muffler I ever heard in my life.

They haven't been on the market in years. Can't even remember who made those. Can't find anything on them doing an internet search either.

Cherry bomb? Lol there is a few brand that do a red glass pack... There's cherry bomb, thrush, flotec. Just to name a few. I Currently have the thrush ones on bit I'm going to flotec

The Cherry Bomb was the original.

I've used Thrush in the past but I found them to be cheap and not long lasting. Don't know if they've improved at all over the years since.

Well mine are rotting out from the inside out. The core in one of them rattles as it warms up

who want some real world mpg tests of six shooter!

the other day I did a 155 mile run mixed with highway, city and WOT runs thrown in. I averaged 17.9 mpg thru the run. it was about 90 miles of highway and the rest was city

Items in RED are new and just need install. Items in Yellow are new, but need all parts to do a complete install... This Color Means Delayed

-26# Injectors from a 1999 Mustang Cobra
-Hypertec Max Energy Programer
-Autolite Iridium XP spark Plugs (not really a mod)
-JBA Short Tube Headers
-Custom Decatted Mid pipes
-True Dual Mids
-Thrush 28" Glass Pack's
-Flotec Red Hots-to replace the thrush glass packs
-Magnaflow Tru-X cross pipe
-Mishimoto Oil Catch Can
-Sprint Booster DBW module-removed due to technical difficulties
-Full SRT catback exhaust

Weight Reduction:
-Spare tire removed
-Spare tire Hoist and Bracket removed
-Rear exhaust shield removed
-Under hood insulation removed
-Roof Rack Removed
