Thanks bro, it was a lot of money well spent and is a continuing project. My next short term goal is to break into the 6 sec 0 to 60 range. Id be on par with a hemi outta the hole.

Dude do a twin turbo setup. A v6 2wd jeep with a twin turbo would be SICK. It would be one hell of a torquey bugger. GTR killer bro.

You should be able to find forged I beams and pistons since they are pretty much the same as the 4.7 as you know but I'm not sure about the crank.

I have already done my research for internals. Your rigth on them being the same piston and rod wise. The 3.7 crank however has a longer throw and is why the 3.7 has a slightly longer stroke over the 4.7. The 3 seven has cams equal to that of the h.o. 4.7. The 3.7 also features the same bed plate and end cap design to hold the crank I place. The only thing I have left really to research is the 3.7's balance shaft located in block above the crank. I need to find out what the critical rpm it can handle. And what power levels the timing chains ( count 3 of them) can withstand.

So what are you gonna do for the crank? I don't think anyone makes a forged 3.7 crank.

If I cant do anything with it then I would limit boost to 10 psi or so. I may have it knifed edged and balanced as well as cryo treated to better temper it. It is a forged steel crank.
