So this is intresting....

Ya know that sound the hemi likes to make on WOT upshifts? Well I get that sound too....never ever done it before. I'm back on factory tune as well but it's never done it back before the Hypertec or after it. Just as of last night going back to stock.

I did have to do a throttle relearn and I no longer feel the upshift like I did before....

Re: Project "Six Shooter" Build Thread

so I recorded my first data log on the stock jeep tune.....

found a few "oddities" that need addressing

1. Jeeps pulling fuel trims EVERYWHERE....but I feel its partly due to the larger injector
2. 48* of timing advance!!?? at WOT
3. what fuel table is the jeep running in 3rd gear over 4k? all fuel trims zero out?
4. Same scenario as #3, fuel system status reads OL-ACCEL? fuel system overload?
5. Jeep don't use spark retard?!?!
6. Jeep don't register knock??!!

Software things I need to figure out....
1. Adding Wideband capability
2. Monitoring fuel injector pulse width and duty cycles...will need this to remap fuel tables

General basic stuff once I get my cal definitions back....
1. throttle control tuning
2 torque management
3. trans tune

definitely need a pair of wide band o2 sensors (great....this wont be a cheap mod but I knew id need them sooner or later)

I need a dyno closer to me....I don't like the idea of mail in tuning....this is highly time consuming and can be costly, however in my situation probably best...at least in the fuel/ignition maps

I suspect these two are related to the cat overtemp protection that kicks in at 80 in 3rd gear or 3rd gear at 4k on WOT. Every speed past 80 its active from what my data log is showing

Well the jeep stops reading at WOT and anything over 4K and goes to open loop so it no longer adjusts the fuel trims based on the o2 sensors, it just relies on the pre programmed values written in to the tune. Your tuner should be able to adjust those. He can probably get close to the correct values based on the trims at other throttle levels but to get an exact value you'll need to get a separate wideband to monitor it at WOT or a have the fuel air ratio monitored on a dyno. Not sure if this is what you're referring to?

If that was the case it would stop using trims at wot in every gear not just 3rd and up bro. No Chrysler has a third gear cat overtemp protection built in it. This a a function I am able to disable in my tuner.

Hmm that's interesting. Mine stops reading in every gear at WOT
