Re: Project "Six Shooter" Build Thread

feeling accomplished and impressed with the jeep tonite...she ran extremely well on the track, launching and hooking hard. and I was getting very consistent .5xx reactions with my best R/T of .416...not bad seeing how that's the first time on track this year. they prepped it well. temps were in the upper 50's and the sprinkle here and there but the action continued.

I out launched my buddy in his 500+ whp civic and held him off most of the 8th...
I murdered a chevy 2500 (dirtymax) on both runs we did...
I out launched another buddy in his Altima coupe 3.5se (350z motor in them) on the first run, we launched the same and had literally identical R/T's on the second run, I rip away thru first, he passes me thru 2nd.

got my butt handed to me by a built z28.....I expected that one lol

then I played with the Altima after the track....he says my gearing is holding me back (this I already know and have explained before) says my first gear is amazeballs but that the Altima passes me in the higher gears (specifically 3rd )

ATI Super Damper w/25% under drive. Time to reduce drag on the motor and increase how fast the motor picks up rpms. This will free up power and give a slight mpg boost.....assuming I can stay off the loud pedal lol

Came up with my own ignition mapping for the jeep. Here's a comparison to the stock map.

Top is the stock map
ForumRunner_20160326_215237.jpg
Bottom is mine. It's more linear and slightly more aggressive in the mid to higher rpms. I just need to refine my mapping a bit but so far I seemed to have almost eliminated my dead spot in third @ 80 mph/ 3.5-4k rpms

Well guys, the page here may be quite for a while. I'm down in fort Polk for JRTC. All you military guys know what that is....fun fun. NOT.

Anyway, I picked up a new belt to throw on with the under drive kit so I'll be doing that when I get back up to Campbell at the end of the month.

Just wanted to apologize to my dedicated followers here about what's going on. Don't worry, I'll be back and posting often
