Put my under drive kit on. Process was fairly simple and straight forward. Took an hr to get it done.
Airram. You failed at properly recommending a belt.
That's right. Airram has failed me. They recommend continental elite 4060855 (formally Goodyear gator back) but that belt is about 2 inches too short.
Our stock belt is as follows.
89.50 inch long by 1 inch wide with 6 ribs.
Airrams recommended belt.
85.50 x 1 6ribs.
The belt I just next day ordered is a continental elite series as well. It's specs are as follows...
87.50 x 1 6ribs.
My new belts P/N is 4060875
Should be here Friday along with the new ring/pinion set for the differential.
Since I couldn't leave the Jeep in the shop for a few days, I drove it back to the barracks beltless and me feeling a bit defeated. (Don't worry, the drive back to the barracks was like 800 feet so no harm done)
I did romp on it tho on the way back and did give it a quick rev in the parking lot and well...
I have never seen this or any 3.7 rev up from idle so fast. It litterally picks up revs so fast the tach cannot keep up (if revved in park/neutral) it hit the 6k rev limiter while the needle was climbing from 4500!!!
And it pulled like a train on the way back lol.
Here's a few pics guys so you can see the size difference between stock and the new one.
Oh and there is no reason to pin this crank like a buddy keeps saying I should lol. (Lookin at you Justin lol) my crank has a key cast onto the end of the crank and the new pulley has the slot for it.
