lol it does suck. I mean heck if you were to total up the cost of all engine mods currently installed including all the stuff I fabricated (if a outside shop did it) id probably got close to 5k on the motor

Re: Project "Six Shooter" Build Thread

I was right around that when I was building my 4.7 and gave up. Sold it all and bought an SRT. Best thing I ever did. So now I started at 420hp at the crank and going up instead of 220hp at the crank on the 4.7 (guesstimate). Plus you dont see to many srt's around my neighborhood so I get all kinds of looks lol. But a twin turbo V6 Laredo will really turn some heads when they hear those things spool up!

if I remember correctly for the gen 1 4.7, they made 265est. at the crank. the 3.7 is 210 crank. then the h.o. was 285, and then the "updated H.O." was like 310crank and 330ft-lbs crank.

220 crank sound the the 5.2

Re: Project "Six Shooter" Build Thread

Your probably correct lol. It was like 2 years ago so I dont remember exactly. I sold everything to another member on here and helping him build everything lol. So I'm living my 4.7 build dream thru him.

lol. what I do know is the 3.7 is technically a h.o. if your looking at just cam specs. overall lift on the 3.7 is .472/.472 and the 4.7 H.O. I think was .468/.472. but the H.O. has heavier springs on the intake side and same ratio springs on the exhaust side.

I would reckon if I added 2 more cylinders on the 3.7 that it would be a hotter motor then the 4.7.

that be cool to see his progress on it!

Re: Project "Six Shooter" Build Thread

I'm secretly planning secret "MODS" in the security of secrecy lol. I just got a brilliant idea of building a true CAI for the 3.7. Look for a prototype in 2015. Lets just say "inspired by" and Bwoody and Carbon Fiber....

Re: Project "Six Shooter" Build Thread

Just be careful if you go with a Bwoody style that you wont soak up water if you hit a good sized puddle (because it sits so low). I heard one guy hydolocked his 6.4 with a bwoody and the dealer wouldnt replace the motor due to it. So def be careful with placement!

Freak what do I do if I want something that is a capable off-roader and also able to raise hell on the street?
