well I figured I have owned my rig for almost 3 years now, and have done quite a bit of work to her. so I figure now, why not make a build thread. a lot of the stuff everyone has already seen so ill just compile a thread with it all. so lets get the party started....

A background story...

...December 9th 2010, I arrive at 20th replacement. Ft Campbell Kentucky.
I began to shop around for a car, checking craigslist and local dealers. No the jeep is not my first car, just needed something to replace my old and aging 1992 GMC Yukon.

My birthday weekend...

I got cleared for a 17,000$ car loan, went down to james corlew Chevrolet/Cadillac dealer. Test drove a 2009 Colorado with a 5speed manual. (beautiful transmission BTW) found out they wanted 21k for it . Luckily tho, I see a 2008 grand Cherokee that they just got in that day. We immediately begin the paper work, on the 7th of January, 2011. (my b-day is the 8th). We were unable to close the deal that day...

The following weekend, we close the deal and I get some insurance on her and roll off the lot. I went straight to a radio shack and buy a AUX cable so I can play my zune thru it....

Here is the pictures of it stock, very rare glimpse very few people has seen:

These are the ONLY SHOTS I have if a very factory stock Project "SIX SHOOTER" after driving it for a few weeks, I had found it too quite and was lacking some "vocal range" so to speak. and so using off the shelf spetre parts created a air intake kit:

I will be updating the thread as I find pictures and videos

The spring of 2012 I, with the help of a friend installed the headers, and shortly after I went catless:

here is a vid of it catless with the dynomax:

This is when I really began to start experimenting on the exhaust, trying new things. Then I sold the dynomax and installed a flowmaster super 44 as a side dump, again catless:

Durring the spring time, I installed the hypertec max energy, the cobra injectors, and took the fastman tb port to new levels by increasing the port work on the front side of the tb creating an improve venturi effect. I began to paint parts as well:

Then the wheels and tires came in the early part of 2013:

I had finally completed the stereo in the truck. it features a pioneer deck with kicker ks speakers all around topped off with a kicker l5 10inch sub. two amps run the whole thing and total system power handling is in the 3000watt range.

I continued to play with the exhaust some more, swapping the flowmaster out for a pair of glass packs in 28" length.

At the time, (IDK if you can hear it or not, but the hole in the header is there) I first noticed the leak then but thought it was cuz of the hacked together factory mids.

the factory mids where then replaced with new custom piping, the only stock part now is the first 4 inches of the mid where I need the o2 bungs.

The whole system was dropped to make sure no leaks would be present. (I still at the time thought that the leak I was hearing was pipe, not header)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw_JzH0ljeA

the new mids gave an improved sound, but in this vid you can clearly hear the leak. I fixed it Saturday by welding the head of a bolt into the hole as a plug. then the magnaflows came next, so now the exhaust has the headers, no cats, true duals, glass packs, and mags to create this sound:

These are shot before the header fix came, new vids coming soon;

I almost forgot to mention the manifold work I did, heres the pics:

Im guessing this is caused by blow by gasses from the PCV? anyone?

well my city fuel milage did drop, only cuz of my massive right foot, but on the high way, they really shine. ill average between 26-29 and have seen a peak of 34 @ 60mph turnin 1800rpm's.

as for power...it is there, she really comes alive as you cross 3000rpm's and pulls hard well into the 5000 range. it pulls al the way thru 3rd before slowing its thrust in 4th.

my right foot makes my fuel average 11-12.5 city, 6-8.7mpg at WOT

I think so too, but it could be better, I fear my right o2 is on its way out, best I could get stock was 23-24. the tails I picked up from carid.com
